Improve garden biodiversity

Attracting wildlife to your garden

No matter how large or small your garden is, you can help to improve the divoversity within it, by simply thinking about ‘how you can help’.

Many farmers who farm many acres have now given over the edges of their fields to wild areas, which over time are becoming more dense and attracting a larger range of insects and wildlife generally. These areas are increasing the wildlife within them and helps to attract bees which aid pollination.

You do not neccessily need to adopt all the suggestions outlined above but just taking one idea will help not only with your wildlife but also enhance the diversity within your garden.

Much of course will depend on your budget and how far you wish to go. We do not suggest that you turn your garden over to a wildlife sanctuary either! It is not an excuse to neglete your garden and we do not suggest that. You can still have a wonderfully ‘tidy’ garden with one or two areas selected for your wildlife sharing.

Simply carrying out one or two of these suggestions will greatly improve the environment within which wildlife trive and survive. If everybody attemps one or two suggestions then wildlife will begin to florish once again.
